Serpent on a Cross Pendant

Unusual piece I picked up long ago on exotic world travels. A beautiful and unusual piece. 1 1/2 inches long. Comes with a faux leather cord. Lightweight. Has a 925 on the back but not sure why? (unless it is silver that has had the color changed.) Never worn (like new).
